Last period occurred on 6 the may. Now on 20 the may again my wife is undergoing period after a gap of 14 days. Her normal period cycle is 8 days. What could be the reason for the same. This abnormality is happening for first time. Is it a matter of serious concern. Please suggest whether to visit Gynaecologist.

Your wife is having polymenoorhoea which can be due to hormonal imbalance or due to some uterine abnormality like polyp or fibroid ...so it's best to get examined by a gynaecologist so that proper tests can be advised n treatment can be given
