My baby girl 11 months. We are thinking to do ear piercing ceremony for her. Doctor told us to use Elma cream. Is this safe? Or does it have any side effects? Should v put the cream before or after ear piercing? Will it be painless after putting this cream?

Hi good evening , I did go through your query . Elma cream actually just gives a mild anaesthetic effect and it has to be used 10 mins prior to the piercing process ....ofcourse it will reduce the pain but the process is not going to be painless ... NO PAIN NO GAIN Thanks for contacting Dr Sujit

If u do gun shot piercing... it's almost painless... else I would say less pain. Apply cream 20-30 min prior
