Ear piercing
Hai Doctor, My 8months old son has 100.4 temperature.Last three days we were in tirumala for his head tonsuring ceremony.Will this fever is due to ear piercing pain or any viral fever.Kindly clarify

Yes may be due to ear piercing, only give pearacetamol plan. If fever continue , need antibiotics.

Might be your child is suffering from infection so give paracetamol ,monitor temperature .If it persistent rise for more than 48 hours or it is more than 102 along with local redness as well swelling , then take a sepsis screen( complete blood count ,CRP ,blood culture )  from your nearby laboratory and start antibiotics.
