Dydrogesterone for how many weeks
Hi Doctors
My wife is now 11 weeks of pregnant, the dr. Suggesting dydrogesterone from day 1 of the positive pregnancy test and advised to continue. Could you please let me know if this normal medication and how long this is advised (actually I asked Dr during visit he said to continue last medicine without writing in prescription. She is vomiting twice every day.

Progesterone support is given in the first trimester if
1.this is a conception after treatment
2. There is a history of previous abortions
3. If there was bleeding a spotting in the first trimester
If the answer to all these three is no then you do not require this medication
