Lots of reasons why may have these symptoms. The vast majority turn out to be 'functional gut problems'. These don't affect life expectancy but do affect quality of life Do the following, 1. Bloods tests: CBP, ESR, HBA1C, LFT, Calcium, TSH, Coeliac antibody screen (IgA-TTG) 2. Stool- microscopy and culture 3. Avoid food items that trigger your symptoms 4. Ultrasound abdomen 5. If your weight remains stable- then fine- if not see Gastro All the best. Free Online Consultations for those aged 50 years and above www.jgsr-health-education.in

Your symptoms are suggestive of a functional digestive problem (gastritis/functional dyspepsia with gas) — not a serious disease. Since H. pylori is negative and you’ve already taken treatment, ulcer or infection is unlikely. At your age, without red flag signs, this is usually due to gas formation, sensitive stomach, and food habits. Treatment will include: 1)Acidity medicine (PPI) 2)Digestion/motility medicine 3)Gas relief medicine 4)If needed, a low-dose night tablet to calm stomach sensitivity Diet control is key: avoid spicy/oily food, excess tea, late meals; take small frequent meals.
Next Steps
If not improving in 3–4 weeks, we will do endoscopy for confirmation.

Hello, I understand it is frustrating to continue feeling these symptoms after two months of regular medication. While your tests were negative for H. pylori bacteria, the inflammation (gastritis and duodenitis) is still causing significant discomfort. Here is why you may still be experiencing these issues and what we can do: Healing Time: Gastritis and duodenitis can take a long time to heal, especially if there are dietary triggers. Even with medicine, the stomach lining remains sensitive. Dietary Habits: Avoid spicy foods, caffeine, carbonated drinks, and very oily meals, as these can bypass the effect of your medications. Try eating smaller, more frequent meals to reduce gas buildup. Weight & Nutrition: Your weight is quite low for your height. This can sometimes make the digestive system more sensitive. The 'warm body' feeling you describe can sometimes happen when the body is struggling to process food or due to slight dehydration. Probiotics: Since you have constant gas and burping, we might consider adding a probiotic to help balance your gut bacteria, as the current enzymes (Enzar Forte) focus only on breaking down food. Recommendation: Please continue your medications but maintain a strict 'bland diet' (khichdi, curd, non-acidic fruits) for the next 2 weeks. If the burning in your stool and gas do not improve, we may need to investigate for SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) or check a stool routine test.
Next Steps
Based on your current status, here are my recommendations: Medication Timing: Are you taking the Sompraz D 40 strictly 30 minutes before your first meal? If taken with food or after a meal, its effectiveness in blocking acid production is significantly reduced. The 'Warm Body' & Weight Sensation: At 40 kg, your body weight is quite low for your height. The 'warm' feeling and inability to gain weight despite medications suggest we should check your Thyroid Profile (TSH, T3, T4) to rule out an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism). Screening for Celiac Disease: Since you have confirmed duodenitis (inflammation in the first part of the small intestine), we should perform an Anti-tTG (IgA) blood test. This will help us see if a sensitivity to gluten (found in wheat/roti) is preventing your gut from healing and absorbing nutrients.
Health Tips
Please get the TSH and Anti-tTG tests done so we can adjust your treatment plan accordingly.

It's due to odd lifestyle and food habit. Decrease spicy fastfood, sleep minimum 6hour in night, avoid use of mobile or laptop after 11pm, sleep well, take ppi in morning time with antacid after each meal, don't sleep or sit after taking meal, walk for 15-30min, do morning work for minimum 1hour
