My wife is facing dry mouth from last 2 weeks. We had consulted an orthopedician and done all the arthritis test which came negative. Her thyroid levels were very high, and from last 3 weeks she is taking thyroxin tablets. But still she is not recovering as expected. Please guide who should we consult further.

Hypothyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid gland is under active and does not produce sufficient amounts of thyroid hormones required in the body. The most cause of hypothyroidism is Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Hashimoto’s thyroiditis is an auto immune disorder in which the antibodies are produced by the immune system against its own tissue, which in turn attacks the thyroid gland resulting in hypothyroidism.Severe Iodine defficiency can also lead to hypothyroidism . Natural Homeopathic remedies for hypothyroidism are highly effective and especially useful for people who want to avoid the side effects of prescription drugs.

Hello,
Dry mouth can happen because of multiple reasons. Could you please share her details with me as in blood tests and any other symptoms that she may be experiencing? Thyroid can cause these symptoms but there have to be other symptoms along with it. Please provide me with some details about her problem and I will be able to give you a better solution
Increase in thyroid levels, rather imbalance in thyroid can cause dry mouth and hence treating thryoid is of utmost importance. But also kindly check her Vit b12 levels.
Dry mouth can be caused by number of reasons. Dehydration, changing weather, diabetes, side effect of some allopathic medicine etc. You should go for a blood sugar test too if not taken previously. As a general management, you can advise her to drink lots water, eat fruits, avoid any mouthwashes, decrease the intake of tea, coffee as they tend to dehydrate the body.
