Dog's sudden change in eating habits.

Hi, You need to check with your vet..There could be several reasons why your dog is refusing food only at night, especially after giving birth 56 days ago..some possibilities for ur brief understanding- 1. Hormonal Changes: Affter pregnancy and nursing, hormonal fluctuations might be affecting her appetite, particularly at certain times of the day. 2. Fatigue & Stress: Taking care of puppies can be exhausting. By nighttime, she might be too tired or stressed to eat. 3. Gastrointestinal Upset: Mild digestive discomfort, acid reflux, or gas buildup could make her feel uneasy at night 4. Behavioral,Environmental Factors: If there have been recent changes, any in her routine, feeding environment, household activity she might feel less inclined to eat at night 5. Selective Eating- Since she accepts biscuits, she may be developing a preference for certain foods, which can sometimes happen post-pregnancy. 6. Underlying Health Issues – Although she is eating during the day, conditions like mild infections, uterine issues (like metritis)or early signs of hypocalcemia should be ruled out (Also checkfor other symptoms like lethargy, panting, trembling).
