Hi,
I am 6 weeks pregnant
My doctor prescribed me duphaston and ecosprin since I was having sometime brown spotting.
However I have noticed whenever I take ecosprin I get brown spotting.
Is ecosprin safe in early pregnancy?

Hi
Congratulations on your pregnancy
Ecosprin is prescribed normally to those pregnant women who are at high risk of developing high blood pressure in pregnancy and not normally to every pregnant women
Aspirin if given in low doses ( 75mg to 81mg)is considered safe but it should be started from 12 weeks of pregnancy
It is preferred to stop aspirin when you have bleeding or spotting has increased and restart it when the bleeding stops
Overall in your case, if you are having spotting. Ideally you should get
1 ultrasound done to check viability ot any signs of haemorrhage around baby's sac
2 get internal examination done to rule out any local cause of bleeding as from neck of womb(cervix)
3 monitor your bleeding pattern
If it gets more than spotting and you start passing clots or start getting severe tummy pain- you must consult doctor on time
4 preferably stop aspirin during bleeding period and restart after bleeding stops
