Does Buffalo/cow milk causes cavity?
Hi doctor. Does consuming cow/buffalo milk also causes cavities? Am thinking to replace breast milk with cow/buffalo milk in bottle at night. Does it help in avoiding cavities?

Giving milk in a bottle that too at night is not at all advisable. A child having caries is mainly due to breast feeding or bottle (through nipple) feeding specially at night. It is called Early Childhood caries ( Nursing bottle caries). Please try to feed through soft spoon and also give some water after milk feeding at night. Since a child cannot rinse his/ her mouth so give some water after milk. And yes you can give cow or buffalo milk.
