DNA report patau syndrome
Had a miscarriage and I have given the fetus test for DNA. The result of the essay indicate a whole arm gain of chromosome 13.The other autosomes except chr 1 and the sex chromosome reveals a normal pattern. Interpretation : abnormal female with gain for whole arm of chromosome 13,indicative a patau syndrome. Pls suggest will i have a Normal pregnancy in future. Is there any treatment for chromosome abnormalities.is it because of my egg . One of my aunty said that I hav to go for ovum donor.

No need of ovum donor.aGet  done chromosome analysis of both partners.If it is normal then try for pregnancy after 3 months.Continue the folic acid.Consume nutritious diet.

Get your chromosome analysis to find out if cause was balanced translocation in both of you or it was spontaneous. If both your chromosome come normal nothing to worry just plan again after 3 months
