Dirty mattress (Grossed out)

Asked for Female, 25 Years

I dragged our old mattress to the apartment complex dumpster. My boyfriend found it five or so hours later, brought it back into our apartment while I was away, and is now laying on it. He is CONVINCED that it was "laying on cardboard not on actual garbage" and that germs don't live on fabrics long. I'm tossing it while hes at work but what should I do to disinfect our apartment and is he going to be at risk?

You can use a regular antiseptic to clean the area which was in contact, if you notice any pests in the house you may require pesticide to control that.
