You have a complex picture â IBS with anxiety, panic attacks, a persistent right lower abdominal pain for 6 years, and now a USG showing mild bowel wall oedema and increased peristalsis. The bowel findings on USG are not typical of simple IBS and suggest something more needs to be investigated â inflammatory bowel disease (like Crohn's disease) or infective causes should be ruled out before attributing everything to IBS and anxiety. A colonoscopy would be a very reasonable and important next step given 6 years of localised abdominal pain.

Hi,
Sounds like a mix of IBS and anxiety, which feed into each other.
The mild bowel changes on scan are common and not dangerous.
Continue your current medicines and focus on calm routines.
