Difference b/w chest Ct scan & upper abd
Hello Doctor, I want to know the chest Ct scan covers the upper abdomen parts or the need to go for both CHEST AND Upper ABDOMINAL individuals. Please.

it is mandatory for ct centres to scan upper abdomen while getting the ct of the chest..even lower necks..they may not report it completely but will definitely have done it..do confirm from them

If required you need to go for both If scan center is willing to screen abdomen in ct chest then you can go for it

You have to take the complete abdomen scan, as some centres do not scan the upper abdomen in ct chest. It varies from centre to centre
