Good morning,
This is not a reversible condition. However if you stop your pan chewing habit it won't progress further.
Your mouth opening looks quite ok in the photo, but has to be confirmed clinically. In case your mouth opening is less than your previous normal opening and you are worried about it, you may seek treatment.
Do not worry about the Grey patches in your mouth, they may or might not disappear.
In case it increases visit a dentist and get it checked
Next Steps
if you need treatment for this and if you are in bangalore you may visit my clinic. Laser photo biomodulation therapy will be helpful in curing your problem

Hello
It will take time to heal. These medicines will act slowly. It is good that you have quit the habit. The doctor must have called for a follow up.
He will also add some more treatments like some injections for the patches and some devices to improve your mouth opening. All this takes time.
You don't have to lose patience neither get back to the habit.
Next Steps
You can definitely get in touch with me. I am an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
The medicines will start giving benefits as you take them for a period of time..you won't pbserve immediate changes within 10 days. Continue the medicines as prescribed and stay away from the gutkha and other tobacco products.
You'll soon start feeling better.
