Your HbA1c 6.6 suggests overall sugars are fairly controlled. A single PPBS 200 after heavy carbohydrate intake may not always need medicine change. Weight loss with sitagliptin is usually uncommon; evaluation is needed before changing treatment.
Next Steps
Please consult with recent reports and follow-up with: • FBS, PPBS • HbA1c • CBC • LFT, KFT • Urine routine + microalbumin • Lipid profile • TSHVitamin B12 & Vitamin D
Health Tips
Further medication adjustment can be planned after review of reports, weight trend and diet history.

Sitagliptin are generally considered as weight neutral drugs, meaning they usually do not cause weight loss. Compared to sitagliptin, metformin has a better effect on reducing body weight. Since you are already taking a metformin, better to change it to the sitagliptin + metformin combination, it would be giving to a better sugar control.

Hi you need to have SMBG prog for diabetes management. It’s recommended for strict diabetes control and to understand your diabetes. It will teach you how to control sugar level even after having high carb diet . You are on OHA but you are not following correct dietary and exercise routine. Consult your diabetologist or take online consultation
