Hello Doctor,
My Mother In Law is diabetic and is under insulin for years now, she happened to hurt her foot and had got her foot operated. Since then she was advised not to put much pressure on her foot and was asked to wear diabetic footwear. She often gets a kind of ulcer wound on the same place where she got herself operated. Is it common?
I also learnt that the doctor who performed the surgery the did not put any stitches because it was on her under foot area. Is it not safe to stitch any wound on the under foot area?
