Diabetes and heavy periods

Hi, I am having heavy periods since start of my periods at age 11..diagnosed with high blood sugar and taking metmorfiin 500mg since 3 months..weight reduced from 83 to 72 kg..but now doc has started me on femilon for heavy periods..my periods are still heavy and I bleed for 20 days at a stretch ..with femilon my period blood looks blackish ..got an ultrasound.. But ultrasound is normal per doctor..
