Diabatic after Covid
Hello Dr., My spouse aged 31yrs has a high blood sugar level of 250 to 300 range. She lost around 8kg. She is around 87kg now. She was tested Covid Positive in Sep20. Got treatment and It's negative from lost 50-60 days. My Question is that 1. is Covid infection is also one of the reasons for her Diabatic. 2. Can she get it treated with plant based medicines like Madhu Nashini, Neem, Bitter guard etc. along with good Diet and exercise. 3. If she starts with Allopathic medication, how can she come out of that medication. Is it possible? Request you to clarify Thanks

Hi Covid-19 infection is associated with elevated blood sugar levels in diabetes patients, especially in severe cases. In addition there may be new onset of diabetes with covid. As it is mentioned that the blood sugars are I strongly suggest to consult an endocrinologist/diabetologist in person for treatment and evaluation Vegetables are recommended as part of healthy diet which is important for management. Focus should be on to treat and control diabetes as uncontrolled diabetes increases risk for other complications including infections
Next Steps
