Hello. My son is 3 months old. He was born in 12/2/20 at 35 weeks 7 days. He weighted 2.295kg and was in NICU for 6 days. Today I saw in his immunization card that the BCG and Hepatitis B vaccine was given to him on 17/2/20 which is after 5 days of his birth. But it must be given wothin 24 hrs as I know. Please suggest me what to do and will these vaccines work if given after 5 days? please suggest.

It’s not that BCG should be given within 24 hrs . Ideally before discharge preterm babies we wait till they gain weight ideally 1.8 -2 kgs. Term babies before 30 days . So you don’t worry 100 % vaccine will work it’s not a delay
