My daughter is 4.5 years old and has been experiencing a dry cough for the past one month. The cough is not continuous but occurs daily at different times. We have given cough syrup, but there has been no significant improvement.

Rule out any allergies. It is more likely if there is any family history of allergies as well. Hope there is no fever and she is gaining weight properly, her appetite is good(to rule out tuberculosis). Sometimes it may be habitual cough
