Based on the reports attached doctor has prescribed Dastinib 100mg daily for cml diagnosed. I want to know is there any serious side effects or any precautions which needs to take ? And what is the effectiveness of this drug? How long it take for the tablet to work ? Can it cure cml?

CML is a treatable disease but you have to be on follow up regularly with BCR ABL report at regular intervals and need to take dasatinib regularly without fail. Dasatinib is highly effective. one side effect with dasatinib is u can have low blood counts of WBC and platelets sometimes for which doctor will adjust the dose accordingly. Another side effect rarely which occurs is a pleural effusion. So need to be in regular follow up
