Cytomegalovirus
Hi all, I'm 26 weeks pregnant with twins. Initially I had a anomaly scan at 18 week, when one of the twins had higher ventricular width. (Twin 1: 6.4 and 5.7, twin 2: 9.4 and 9.1mm) Later at 22 weeks, where the ventricular width slightly decreased (Twin-1:7.3 and 6.6 , Twin-2 9.1 and 6.4) In the recent scan at 26 week, both the babies had unilateral ventriculomegaly(twin1-11.4 and 9.6, Twin-2: 10.8 and 7.2mm) All the parts of the brain are fine as per doctors suggestion I took cytomegalovirus and toxoplasmosis tests. For CMV- Anti CMV-IgG is >250 Anti CMV-IgM is 0.24 Toxoplasmosis - Anti Taxoplasma-IgM 0.09. Anti Taxoplasma-IgG 0.1 Does this mean I have CMV and has this been passed to the babies. What could be the reason for the increased ventricular width? Thanks
