Ct value in rtpcr test is 14
Yesterday my husband detected covid positive with ct value is 14 . doc suggested home isolation . we have started azee 500 .prior to one day test . now no fever only cough n throat irritation is observed even Chest xray is clean . should we require hospitalisation? not understand ct value correlation . my few frnds having 23,21 etc . 14 means high infection ?

Ct value tells us about viral load in a person Less than 25 is high viral load Greater than 25 is less viral load It can not predict disease severity but u shd continually monitor saturation 5 times a day and other parameters

Do not depend upon ct value. Monitor the symptoms, and spo2, and fever.if symptoms persists,if spo2 is less than90,persistent fever,then you have to worry. May need hospitalization.pl consult Pulmonologist online with all the reports and treatment taken.
