Iam Thejeswar. Iam Medical and Hematooncologist.
CT is a diagnostic method. It contains X rays. The amount that is used in CT scan is far less to cause cancer. It is relatively safe. For most people, the benefits of the exam definitely outweigh the potential risks.
Risk is more when a person have a lot of CT scans, if it takes place on the same part of the body several times and with very high doses.
Risk is more in females and children.
