Crossdressing Fantasy
From the last few years i am fallen in love for the fantasy for wearing women dresses, jewelleries and footwears. I fantasize about wearing a saree or any dress which i would like to wear. Like to shop for women dresses. I feel mesmerised when i fantasize about crossdressing. I feel i love to be like her. But the thing is that i don't know what to do. Not able to say anything to my friends or relative about this situation. I want to know that whether this thing show that i am having a gender identity problem?. Please guide me and support me in this regard.

Hello! Thank you for reaching out and considering this a safe space to express yourself. We appreciate you in exploring your gender expression and identity. Gender identity, or the way you define your gender as you understand it- can be different for everyone and it is definitely not a problem. Gender identity is a continuity or spectrum of identities that one identifies with and it can be very fluid than just it being masculine or feminine. Your curiosity in exploring the women spectrum is completely understandable. It can be difficult in dealing with the changes and thoughts because it is not the ‘normal’ that people expect. However, we wish to reassure you that your thoughts and feelings are valid. Exploring your expression of gender is a normal passage of experience and there is no reason for shame to identify as you feel! Please identify allies- or people who are supportive of you to talk about the same. We understand this would be difficult and reactions of people can be unsupportive. In this sense, it can be very challenging to process what you have been feeling and it would be very helpful if you could talk to professional mental health practitioners who would be able to support you and listen to your experience. They would help you understand the ways in which you can navigate your journey ahead. Credits: Parul Pushkarna, Intern at Heart It Out
