The exact cause is difficult to know without proper assessment. There can be nutritional/medical/physical reasons for poor recovery. As far as physiotherapy is concerned, core strengthening can be done. It will do half the work! even more than that!! Making it simple for you: 1. Learn to relax; loosen up shoulders and tummy. Tummy should fill up when you breath in and it should go in when you breath out (Make it a habit to stay relaxed; staying in the present moment will ensure this) 2. Breath out-hold for 4 secs-breath in-hold for 2 sec-repeat (10 repetitions at a time)!; 3. These will ensure core muscle activation to the extent required. 4. These will ensure enough support. For the remaining localised treatment of the cramp, visit a physician/orthopedician and a physiotherapist.
Next Steps
Relax. Take deep breaths. Exercises under supervision of a physiotherapist.
