My father has Eye drooping problem and mild diabetes. Please let me know what is CPEO. How serious is it? Can it be treated? He has pain in shoulders. Is it because of the CPEO effect or diabetes.Any food changes or exercises that can help?

In this disease,eye movements slowly decrease and lids also droop.

As the name suggests it's chronic prgressive external ophthalmoplegia.
Hence it's a progressive disease and there is no definite treatment for it.only yoga, fresh fruits and vegetables and antioxidants etc may help a little.
