Covishield second dose
Hi Doctor, my father has taken his first dose of covishield vaccine in May and now in a day or two he is due for his second dose. However, from news articles and several cases that say for precautionary, those on blood thinning medications should wait for now, we are afraid of rare but severe side effects of the dose. Plz throw some light.
P.S we have recently lost an acquaintance after he took both doses and suffered blood clots in legs within two months along with fluid in lungs. The second dose reacted adversely on him. So we have similar fears.

The status of blood thinners use is not finalized.
But no recommendations by any scientific body nor the government agencies have spelt against it.
I have neither stopped any blood thinners for covid vaccination
