Covid vaccine time duration-reg
Hi Doctor, one of my relative got her first dose of covaxin on 23Mar21, it's been already 80days passed but she doesn't get her covaxin 2nd dose injection due to vaccine shortage reason. Q1:As maximum no of days has been passed (80days) now whether she can opt for some other vaccine (e.g covishield)as a fresh dose  for the first & second doses? Q2:Or she has to take only covaxin as a 2nd dose even though 80days passed? Q3-Or she need to undergo any medical tests (e.g antibodies test) before taking any vaccine again? Kindly give suggest. Awaiting for your response. Thanks in advance.

It is not advisable to take two different vaccines. Dont worry if second dose is delayed. The reason is the mechanism of action of every vaccine is different. So the outcome of getting 2 different vaccines may not be favourable...
