Covid ( Coronavirus )
I have tested covid positive on 21st April. and am under home isolation. My wife is also positive from almost same time ( 16th April onwards) and at home isolation. Our SPO2 levels are 96 and 98 respectively but she's getting fever on and off sometimes going as high as 103. Should we go for Chest CT.

Unless her spo2 falls further a CT is not required. Also you could get her inflammatory markers (IL6, serum ferritin, CBC, d dimer, LDH etc) done. There have shown to have a role.in predicting the prognosis for the patient. Most of all , keep calm. Check the spo2 at regular intervals and a spot of minor exercise (walking about the house for about 5 minutes). In case of any sudden onset breathlessness lie prone and so deep breathing. Stay alert. Keep a lookout for the symptoms.

Until and unless your Spo2 level goes below 92, we usually avoid Chest CT. A simple chest x-ray can be done.
