My mother underwent treatmeant for COVID pneumonia for 11 days in the hospital. She was discharged from the hospital 2 weeks back. The CT scan report showed no infection in the lungs after treatment, but showed the growth of fibrosis.
She is currently on steroids, heavy antibiotics and nebulisation to treat the lung infection and fibrosis. Please find attached her prescription.
For the past 3-4 days she has started to cough after having her meals and ejects wet cough (white in colour). But she feels better and stops coughing after warm water gargles.
Why could she be coughing after eating? Should we get her chest x-ray and CT scan done?
Best,
