My daughter is having cough since last 7 months. When she is given medicine by doctor, her cough stops and when medicine course is stopped, after 2-3 days her cough starts again and the cough is completely dry.
Sometimes cough persists for half an hour and so on..
I try to give her warm water...but it doesn't make any difference..I am very worried for my daughter..chest x ray, allergy test was done .but everything came normal,
Please guide.

More details are needed in history and check up also. Looks like an allergic cough. Please consult directly with all reports. If she is not losing weight and development is normal, there is no major illness. Allergic cough can be controlled with inhalers
Cough in children takes time to subside, but usually won't last 7 months. If clinical examination and investigations are normal, the child will get better.
Next Steps
To be sure, check the following also
1)Do you have any history of bronchial asthma/ allergy in your family?
2) Is there anybody in your neighborhood with chronic lung disease like TB?
Cough takes time to reduce... Sometimes due to nasal secretion, the baby may cough which is more on lying down.
If the baby is putting on weight and playful.... You may need not worry much about cough.
However a details clinical examination will be reduced to understand the cause of cough
