Cough.cold chest pain

Asked for Male, 23 Years

I was suffering from cold, a little fever and enough cough.I have overtook cold and fever but my cough is not under control. I have took MONTEK AB.cough is not better than previous.could you please help me what should I do now? Feeling a little chest at coughing time..

Hi...., looks like you have developed lower respiratory tract infection.... Which includes acute bronchitis, croup, pneumonia and others.... It could be due to an viral or an bacterial infection.... Viral bronchitis and croup do not require antibiotics and mild cases can be treated at home with symptomatic management... However bacterial infection requires suitable antibiotics to treat....Kindly consult your pulmonologist for further evaluation and treatment....
