Unless u mention what medicines he has been prescribed and how his symptoms have evolved, I can't really help u.

Next Steps

Try to rule out any allergies that may have flared and lead to this continuous cough. If it has been more than 3 weeks without any relief please get an X-ray and tuberculin test to rule out Pneumonia or TB
