If mild,avoid unnecessary medicine and just give steam inhalations for cold and cough and decongestant nasal drops for nasal block or increased cough on lying down.
Use paracetamol for fever and repeat every 4 hours if required.
If not improving OR accompanied by other symptoms like wheezing or breathlessness or dullness and refusal to feed,consult your paediatrician for physical examination and investigation for further management.

Hi,
Prescribing without diagnosing is illegal: so I would urge you to urgently approach ur local Pediatrician.
In the meantime, dosing of oral Paracetamol is 10mg/kg/dose, every 4-6hourly, preferably along with food;
eg. syrup Calpol (125mg/5ml), for 10kg child will be 4ml every 4-6hrly
