1) Both the procedures are equal good. Everything depends on age, types of blockages, overall heart function, patients physical capacity to bear a major surgery. So even if a patient has three vessel blockage and doesn’t have physical capacity to get a bypass, stents are a very good option. If you are getting an elective procedure, it is always better to get an angiogram first, take 2-3 opinions and than get either a CABG or Angioplasty.
2) There are multiple good Hospitals in Kolkata, Birla, Columbia Asia etc. you can get an angiogram from any good place. Always collect the report and CD so that second opinions can be taken.
3) More than you the treating doctor needs to be convinced that what he is doing is right. There are situations where you may get confused or get pressurized, it is better to stop and take a second opinion.
