Hi, recently I got extremely red eyes and clear water discharge after I ride bike. So, I went to a doctor he gave me some antibiotics, but it didn't work. So, went again to him after two days. Then he prescribed corneal fluorescein test that caught some spots in cornea. I already had a bad direct trauma to that eye which gave some permanent lost corneal cells and which I already slightly altered after that injury. My question is that how reliable that test is in that case because that test shows same pattern as my old injury. After doing that test doctor prescribed some antibiotics with antiviral drugs and anti-allergic eye drops that worked well for me. The discharge is stopped and I am doing well, no pain no vision change (from day 1), only redness remains in eye. I have attached that report as well my infected eye photo. Please answer. I am not in worry, just curious to know!

The test does find the difference between old and new injury. Currently continue the antiviral medicines. It will take few weeks to resolve. Do not stop the medicines unless the spots has completely disappeared after cornea doctor consultation only.

Good afternoon sir
The picture which you have shared shows conjunctival congestion only. Cornea seems to be clear on photo. Corneal fluorescein staining is done to rule out viral Keratitis. Active viral Keratitis can be easily differentiated from corneal scar due to previous injury. The picture drawn by the ophthalmologist shows presence of nummular scar/ SPKs on the cornes
Next Steps
Viral Keratitis needs treatment for long duration, continue the same treatment, if possible get a physical consultation from a cornea specialist
Health Tips
Don't abruptly stop anti-virals without cornea consultation
