Convulsion postdelivery nw on levipil500
Hi Sir/Mam, I got convulsion post cesarean within 4 days and from then I am on Levipil 500mg twice a day. I never had pre eclampsia or high BP before delivery. It has been 6 months of taking levipil and I can feel that I am into depression. I feel like crying hard and then very next moment everything looks good. I do get suicidal thoughts at times. People around me feel that my behaviour is bipolar. Now my MD has started reducing the dosage of levipil and I am having severe headache after that. Please let me know what is wrong with me ? I went to depression due to levipil as its side effect or is it just hormonal changes after delivery ?? Please advise me what to do next ?

Your seizures post delivery, was there any bleed? Was a scan done? Post- natal depression is a known entity, unfortunately not many take note of it or accept it. Other possibility is side effect of medication as well. Please meet a neurologist and a psychiatrist who work together. It’s important doctors interact and work in interest of the individual.
Next Steps
Meet a neurologist and a psychiatrist.
