O c pills have effect only in that cycle as contraception. After stopping u will get menses on its on in a weeks time. At age of 36 u must have been preescribed with ocp , most likely becoz of some ovarian cyst formation. Taking pills for 21 days downregulates higher levels of hormones in ur body and gets it to normal level, where by ur next mths ovulation improves So don’t worry

If you are trying to conceive and your doctor has advised you oral contraceptive pill she must have done this to downstage your previous cycle... as she may be thinking of planning ovulation induction in the next cycle
Next Steps
Due to lockdown you may not be able to connect with her personally.
