Consult towards period

Asked for Female, 20 Years

I have done unprotected sex. In last week of June and I am not getting periods. I have also consulted to gynaecologist. She advise me take nortas 10mg. Till 7 days. Is it effective or not.. And is it used in preventing pregnancy.

In preventing the pregnancy it is not useful but if yours pregnancy test is negative then it brings period in the form of withdrawal.If you are sexually active then do pregnancy test by urine or blood and decide.

It is not useful in preventing pregnancy.. it will induce periods only if you are not pregnant.. if you have a doubt of pregnancy first do Urine Pregnancy Test to know the same.. after that the medications can be given but those are different medications
