Asked for Female, 37 Years

I am soon going to be 38. I hv a child 3 n half yrs. I want to plan for next baby now. I hv a history of thyroid. In my previous pregnancy i also had gestational diabetes. Family history of diabetes n bp. I want to know whether i should plan for another child at this age? What are the chances of complications and if i do plan should i consult a gynaec first beforw trying on our own naturally?
