My father is having continuous hiccups for the last two and half days. Tried all possible methods like drinking water, deep breathing, taking honey, taking something sour bu of no help. visited a physician , he gave antacid still its of no help. Is there any concern? How to stop it ? Please help.

Hiccups are due to many reasons
1.high blood urea
2.gastritis
3.stroke in posterior part of brain
4.low sodium etc..
Pls do sodium levels and kidney functions.
Can try syr xylocaine viscus.
Before using liofen confirm kidney functions are normal

Hello. Hiccup may be due to various reasons. Please check his blood Urea, creatinine levels. And try Tab LIOFEN 10mg twice daily after meals for control of hiccups. But it may make him bit drowsy. Hope this helps.

drink lots of water.
get his ECG done and consult a Consultant physician in person.
syp. mucaine gel 10ml twice a day .
do not Delay this further, get it checked out and get some tests also done.
