Constant cough
My son is 3.5 years old.after a fever or cold he gets a severe cough(laryngitis) and it goes away only with antibiotics. Nowadays he has a constant cough that doesn't go away. Dr has adviced to give levocetrizine and montelukast5ml daily for some months. Is there any other remedy. (He also has allergic reaction to some food and whenever he gets fever frisium is given.)

Most fevers in children are viral in origin and take 3-7 days to subside completely. Give just steam inhalations and use decongestant nasal drops for nasal block or increased cough on lying down. Use paracetamol for fever and repeat every 4 hours if required. Frisium is to prevent febrile seizure,NOT allergy.
