Confusion in blood sugar reports!!

I have a doubt will a sugar level lower from 289 to 153(both after food blood sugar) within 15hrs for a non diabetic patient
But the first reading taken after lunch
Second reading taken the next day morning after breakfast
Diabetologist told the first report with 289 is not correct because the second report/reading is taken from home,Also 153 to 157 after food reading is confirmed with both glucometer and normal blood taken from vein..please reply
