Confusion about hiv test

Asked for Male, 24 Years

My friend had protected sex with woman 1.5 years ago that woman is positive or negative status is unknown.. and after 42 days after protected sex he done antigen/antibody test result was negative but though he was afraid and he did another hiv test after 6 months which was rapid antibody hiv test kit.. that was also negative... he is still afraid suggest something
