Hi. I have stopped taking 2.5 mg concor cor as i am having difficulty losing weight on a strict diet and excersize regimen. My Bp is now 140/90 as I'm not taking the medicine for the last few days. Which one is better in terms of not having fluid retention which i believe is one of the side effects of beta blockers. Any advice is helpful.

Kindly do not stop a heart rate limiting agent without medical advice. It may cause side effects including tachycardia, tachyarrhythmia, dizziness and others. Medical consultation advised.

Never stop medicines on your own and never read side effects on internet. No beta blocker causes much fluid retention. If you need help for weight loss or change of medicines you need to consult your doctor
