Left lower abdominal pain with alternating constipation and loose stools can occur due to colitis, bowel spasm, dietary factors, or functional bowel disorders. Pain around the anus may be related to hemorrhoids, fissure, or rectal inflammation. Since your previous scan mentioned rectal wall thickening/colitis and symptoms are recurring, proper evaluation is important to identify the exact cause.
Next Steps
Avoid outside and spicy foods for a few days, maintain good hydration, and avoid straining during motions. A detailed evaluation by a gastroenterologist may be needed, and depending on symptoms, further tests such as stool tests, sigmoidoscopy, or colonoscopy may be advised.
Health Tips
Take a fiber-rich diet, regular meals, adequate fluids, and avoid prolonged constipation. Seek medical attention earlier if you develop bleeding in stools, fever, significant weight loss, severe pain, or persistent diarrhea.
