Chronic constipation
Hello Doctor, My father (73) is suffering from chronic constipation from years, his bowl movement is not works if he does not take any laxative medicine. He is also a diabetic patient. Please help.

I hope he is active and walks daily . Give him plenty of fluids orally and green leafy vegetables and food rich in fibres. May be he will improve

Laxative might help. So try syp duphalac or looze 15ml twice a day along with dulxoflex tablet at night time. High fibre rich foods like green vegetables and fruits. Walking 15mins a day. If still persists have to rule to other causes...
