First we have to classify what type of constipation you have three major types: A. Functional (most common) B. Slow Transit Constipation C. Pelvic Floor Dyssynergia (Outlet obstruction) Do you have any of this - Blood in stool, • Weight loss • Severe abdominal pain • Anemia • Family history of colon cancer • Constipation suddenly appearing in adulthood Depending upon this there are some basic blood investigations to be done . We have to diagnose what is causing your constipation , need detailed history.

Chronic constipation that does not improve with diet often needs medical evaluation. • Long-term laxative use can sometimes worsen bowel dependency. Advise to Increase water intake (2.5–3 L/day).Continue high-fiber diet but add soluble fiber like psyllium husk at night.Maintain regular physical activity and fixed toilet timing (especially after breakfast). Avoid frequent stimulant laxatives. Medical evaluation needed: Thyroid function test Blood sugar Serum calcium Colon evaluation if symptoms persist creening for IBS or slow-transit constipation
Health Tips
Since the problem is persistent despite diet changes, it is advisable to consult a gastroenterologist for proper evaluation and long-term management.
