As per latest reports,the treatment is prescribed excision of choledochal cyst and hepaticojejunostomy I wanted to understand does the above mean complete removal of Gall Bladder & CBD and will it have severe after effects?

Choledochal cyst is a diseased organ that can cause cholangitis and cancer. Excision will remove disease and its consequences. Now it’s diseased functionless conduit. By hepaticojejunostomy we excise it and restore continuity.
